Changes Around Here

I've decided to spice things up on this ol' blog for the new year.  Nothing too radical, just some things I've been thinking about for the last month or two. 

I am adding some new monthly posts:

     * Gratitude Thursday : Last Thursday of the month

     * What's On My Shelf : Second Friday of the month - book reviews and what I wanna read

    * DIY to Real Life : Third Tuesday of the month - I'm gonna start knocking stuff off my Pinterest boards

    * Wanderlust : Travel ideas, where I dream of, trips I've taken, etc. - This has no set date and will probably be irregular

I'm planning follow ups on some of my most popular posts to date.  I've decided to try and be more open with you, my readers, so be prepared for some feels coming your way.   AND - I'm planning a BIG one year blog-aversary giveaway for May.

I've also signed up for a monthly foodie swap through The Lean Green Bean, which is (hopefully) gonna be awesome!  I can't wait to get all those goodies in the mail.

A revamp the design of Joyful Calamity has already started, so be on the lookout for the final product.  All in all - I am trying to be more active and more dedicated to this corner of the internet.

Excited!!

I'm pretty excited right now.  I just learned how to make my blog pretty without having to pay someone to do it.  Woot Woot!  Yup, I did all the tags and everything myself.  It may not seem like much to some people, but it has taken me over a year to figure out I could do all that with Picasa.  Yup, I'm a little slow on the uptake.

I am going to re-do the header in a few (I just wanted to get something personalized up there for now) and make a blog button to go with it.

* Update : I just took a class about blog design so even more big changes are on the way with my layout!*

Anyone Interested in a Blog Swap?

The theme, of course, will be summer.  What your plans are for this summer, what you love about summer, favorite summer vacation, favorite summer activity, the possibilities are endless!
I'm thinking that the swap list will go out July 15th with posting July 17th.  That will give people plenty of time to write something and get it to their partner.

Ideally, a bunch of people will sign up so we can get a nice big swap going :-)   I've already gotten some bloggers signed up from 20sb.net, but the more the merrier!

Hi!  Whether you came here from my old blog (Landscapes of Me) or are brand new, welcome to my new interwebs home.

My last blog was starting to move into a  direction I didn't want - very negative, I was having a hard time finding things to write.  Just not at all what I wanted. 

So, I decided since I was making a big move to Portland, Maine with my lovely boyfriend and crazy dog, I would have a fresh start in the blogging world too.  I have some posts already written and scheduled to drop soon.  So, welcome again and enjoy!
